For the first time ever, a 9/11 documentary was screened in an open public venue. On Wednesday, Sept. 12th and again on Monday Oct. 19th, a 9x12 foot screen was erected in one of the most traveled locations in Manhattan, Union Square Park. We estimate each time 600-700 people stood and watched 9/11 Mysteries: Demolitions Part I, a 90 minute film. The crowed was riveted by the dramatic combination of scientific analysis of the tower collapses, first hand accounts, and testimonies of experts. Taking the truth of 9/11 straight to the public proved to be a powerful means of educating and engaging a random selection of New Yorkers who came to the realization that our government and media has withheld the truth of 9/11 from them for six years. They all agreed that they didn't want to wait 7 years for truth. They realized the time is now to learn the facts and demand action to get justice for all who were lost, their families, our brave first responders, and all of us impacted by the imperial agenda which 9/11 set the stage for. A new level of 9/11 education has been established.

Adding to the significance, Union Square Park has a rich history of being the location for progressive events. As far back as 1882, the first Labor Day parade drew 10,000 workers filed past the reviewing stand there. Many union rallies have taken place there, hence its name. Many will remember that in the days and weeks after the 9/11 attacks, crowds showed up there holding candlelight vigils, posting photos and messages for loved ones in hope of finding them. On these two nights, through this film we brought a whole new audience scientific analysis of the tower demolitions, and insight into the magnitude of what fits the scenario outlined by Project For A New American Century's call for a "new Pearl Harbor".

Benefit for NYC 9/11 Ballot Initiative

On Saturday Nov. 24th, 2007, a benefit was held at St. Marks Church to raise funds and awareness for the NYC 9/11 Ballot Initiative. It was a magical evening with a stellar lineup of speakers pictured below. The evening began with excerpts from "9/11: Press For Truth" and the newly released sequel "In Their Own Words". These film clips set the stage for the evening by establishing the facts on how the government did all they could to avoid an investigation of 9/11.

Each speaker brought a unique perspective. Jersey widows Lorie Van Auken and Patty Cassazza shared from their in-depth research from which they compiled several hundred questions for the 9/11 Commission. More details coming soon...

Conference Report

Nov. 6, 2007

The conference in West Hartford, CT which took place on Sat. Nov. 3rd was a great success. Congratulations to the organizers. They found a great venue at St. Joseph's College and put together an excellent roster of speakers made up of some of the top 9/11 researchers, family members and first responders. They covered the range of information from scientific analysis to health issues of responders, to the experience of victims family members who worked so hard to pressure the government to launch an investigation.

There were some great surprises. Actor Ed Asner, who was appearing in a play in Hartford, was contacted earlier in the week and accepted the invitation to open up the conference. He conveyed his view of the over-arching importance of the work the 9/11 Truth Movement is doing. Jersey widow, Patty Cassazza, came and gave a great talk in which she spoke of many whistleblowers who came forth to her and the other Jersey widows offering to provide information for the investigation. Interestingly, although Co-Chairman Tom Kean promised to hear them all, barely any were actually allowed to testify. Both Bob McIlvaine and Patty answered questions from the audience. Other family members who spoke were Donna Marsh O'Connor and Manny Badillo.

Architect Richard Gage and former physics professor Steven Jones provided extensive scientific analysis on the physical evidence proving the tower collapses had to have been caused by explosives in the buildings. As usual, after Richard Gage speaks everyone in the audience winds up convinced.

The audience was extremely moved hearing first responder John Feal describe his experience of working at Ground Zero, getting injured and then the hardships endured by thousands of responders ever since 9/11. This is obviously a huge issue and our movement continues to rally in support of these brave men and women whose lives have been so adversely effected by the environmental disaster from 9/11 healthwise and financially.

Sofia, producer of the documentary "9/11 Mysteries" gave her unique perspective on the times we're living in and the role 9/11 has played in creating the political reality we're being subjected to. She also inspired the audience by portraying how we are purveyors of truth and hope which are so necessary for our society at this point in time.

Another major highlight was the surprise appearance of Cynthia McKinney. She was in Rhode Island and learned that William Pepper would be speaking in the evening. She contacted the organizers and asked if she could be the one to introduce him. So she drove 2 hours just to address the people with her homage to William Pepper. He then gave a great history of his experience with Martin Luther King, who had sought him out after reading an article he wrote as a journalist in Viet Nam. He went on to describe a decades long history of political disruption the US has been responsible for to establish the fact that 9/11 is part of a long series of criminal, imperialist conquests.

The NYC 9/11 Ballot Initiative

Imagine having an election option enabling residents of NYC to vote for a new, independent investigation of 9/11!

There is now a campaign to create a NYC ballot initiative calling for an independent 9/11 Commission. The concept is to bypass the stand down by our elected officials to fully investigate 9/11, by taking the issue directly to NYC voters through grassroots legislation. If successful, the initiative would create the kind of investigation 9/11 researchers have demanded for over 5 years through powers vested in the new Commission by the voters themselves.

Presidential Candidate, Sen. Mike Gravel Meets with 9/11 First Responders

On the 6th anniversary of 9/11, Sen. Mike Gravel was in New York City for a press conference at the UN. He made time to meet with David Miller, a 9/11 first responder and Les Jamieson of NY 911 Truth. The senator was all ears as he was informed about the experience of responders, how they've been so badly mistreated by the city services, neglected by the federal government, and all the suffering they've been subjected to healthwise, financially, and emotionally. Sen. Gravel shared his own experience as a member of the Navy and his frustration in obtaining health services he needed as a young man. He agreed that the plight of 9/11 first responders is a national disgrace that calls for correction through special funding which would amount to a fraction of what we're spending on the current war budget.

Sen. Gravel visited New York City again this week. Along with media interviews, a speech at NYU, and a press conference at City Hall, he met with 9/11 first responders at St. Marks Church. This time there were some concrete plans discussed to better organize and publicize the types of remedies which are needed to bring the health of responders back to normal. We can count on Sen. Gravel to do all he can to bring national attention to this community which deserves to have their needs fulfilled.

Sen. Gravel also stands strongly behind the call for a new investigation of 9/11 and supports the NYC 9/11 Ballot Initiative which is designed to accomplish this goal.

Mike Gravel served from 1969-1981 as senator from Alaska. Among his accomplishments, he exposed the Pentagon Papers and ended the Vietnam War draft.

Zogby Poll: 51% of Americans Want Congress to Probe Bush/Cheney Regarding 9/11 Attacks; Over 30% Seek Immediate Impeachment

"67% fault 9/11 Commission for not investigating anomalous collapse of World Trade Center 7"

Kansas City, MO (Zogby International) September 6, 2007 - As America nears the sixth anniversary of the world-churning events of September 11, 2001, a new Zogby International poll finds a majority of Americans still await a Congressional investigation of President Bush' and Vice President Cheney's actions before, during and after the 9/11 attacks. Over 30% also believe Bush and/or Cheney should be immediately impeached by the House of Representatives.

The 911truth.org–sponsored poll also found that over two-thirds of Americans say the 9/11 Commission should have investigated the still unexplained collapse of the 47-story World Trade Center Building 7 at 5:20 p.m. on September 11, 2001. WTC 7 housed the mayor's emergency bunker and offices of the SEC, IRS, CIA and Secret Service and was not hit by any planes but still completely collapsed into its own footprint nearly eight hours after the Twin Tower attacks. FEMA did not explain this collapse, the 911 Commission ignored it, and the promised official study by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is now 2 years overdue. Janice Matthews, executive director of poll sponsor 911truth.org, observes: "The supermajority response to the WTC Building 7 question signals an increasing public concern about this remarkable event -- up from 38% last year. We can perhaps credit this rising awareness to the millions who have recently witnessed videos or Youtube clips of this skyscraper's descent and the outspoken demands for a new WTC inquiry from over 150 architects and engineering professionals, including NIST's own former Fire Science Division Chief, Dr. James Quintiere. Another contributory factor is the increased questioning among Hispanics, Blacks and Asians whose responses appear significantly more critical of the 9/11 Commission than Whites, sometimes twice as critical."

Strategy aide W. David Kubiak adds, "While only 32% seek immediate Bush and/or Cheney impeachment based on their current personal knowledge, a clear majority of citizens still seems hungry for a full exposure of the facts. The results suggest widespread public support for legislators like Rep. Dennis Kucinich who pledge to investigate unanswered 9/11 questions in the relevant congressional committees this fall. We hope more of our representatives find the spine to respond to this escalating dissatisfaction with the dubious accounting we have received thus far."

9/11 family member and 911truth.org advisor Donna Marsh O'Connor notes, "I’m not sure this poll is at all surprising. Over half of those polled want more answers from Congress, from those they hired to represent them. One quarter of the country knows enough to want to impeach both. Doesn't it just mean people need figures they consider credible to tell them whether key details add up or not? Truth advocates need to press their case in Congress, on college campuses, in church groups with reason and absolute discipline regarding what can and cannot be proven. The strongest evidence needs to reach the people—including people who hate computers. We must present it calmly. Like whispering so that people reach in to hear."

This is a telephone survey of adults nationwide conducted by Zogby International from August 23 to August 27, 2007. The target sample is 1,000 interviews with approximately 71 questions asked. Samples are randomly drawn from telephone cd’s of national listed sample. Zogby International surveys employ sampling strategies in which selection probabilities are proportional to population size within area codes and exchanges. As many as six calls are made to reach a sampled phone number. Cooperation rates are calculated using one of AAPOR’s approved methodologies and are comparable to other professional public-opinion surveys conducted using similar sampling strategies. Weighting by region, party, age, race, religion, and gender is used to adjust for non-response. The margin of error is +/- 3.1 percentage points. Margins of error are higher in sub-groups.

Another 9/11 Rescue Dog Dies of Cancer

We must never forget that our government, through Christie Todd Whitman as head of the EPA, told hundreds of thousands of people who live and work in lower Manhattan that the air was "safe to breathe". This contributed to a situation in which thousands of responders worked at Ground Zero for weeks and months without using proper protection. Many rescue dogs have already died, and now we have a 7/26/07 CNN report about another dog dying of cancer.

This scenario is important to understand because there are many who argue that the U.S. government would never be evil enough to be behind the massacre of 3,000 people. First, we never state that this is the case. Of course, the entire government could not have participated in such a monstrous crime. However, a covert criminal faction at the highest levels of our government, whether they're elements within our shadow government or a multi-national team of mercenaries, must be considered to be the actual perpetrators due to the overwhelming evidence that the official story just doesn't hold together.

An objective understanding of how the environmental disaster was handled, how we were lied to so that Wall St. could be quickly reopened and people return to shopping should lead us to realize just how callous and calculating our government can be.

9/11 Truth Accepted at Atlanta Social Forum

Social Forum events attract thousands of people from around the globe to deal with a wide spectrum of social justice issues. There are international as well as regional U.S. Social Forum events. A few weeks ago Janice Matthews of 911truth.org and many other 9/11 truth activists attended the first national Social Forum held in Atlanta. Auxiliary Firefighter/First Responder Speaks

After meeting him at Ground Zero just one week before, on Nov. 25th at St. Marks Church, Paul Isaac thrilled the audience at St. Marks Church in what was his first public speaking engagement. Paul had much to share based on his expertise which supported the claims that prior to the collapse of the World Trade Center towers, the fires were not only cooling, but it's likely the sprinklers were working. He addressed the issues of the firefigher's radios, saying that many of them as well as law enforcement are aware of the corruption of our leadership. He advocates for communities focusing on self-defense in the event of any future catastrophic events. Paul pointed out many aspects of the official account of 9/11 which just don't stand up to scrutiny, and shared an intriguing analysis of Controlled Demolition, Inc.'s demolition of the Maspeth Keyspan tanks and their resemblence to the collapse of the towers. His passion for truth, his solidarity with the community of first responders, and his desire for protecting our civil liberties were clearly evident. BBC News Prematurely Announced Collapse of WTC7

Last week another huge smoking gun proving our case appeared. Someone found an archive of a BBC news segment talking about the collapse of Building 7 twenty-six minutes before it actually fell. This timing has been independently verified. Now the BBC is claiming they lost the original tapes, which according to an activist who has worked in media professionally, is virtually impossible due to the archive copies that always get created. Bush Moves Toward Martial Law By Frank Morales

One of the many alarming consequences of 9/11 has been the erosion of civil liberties and movement towards a police state as a result of the "Global War On Terror". This article highlights two pieces of legislation that shows the reality of a draconian agenda which, if understood, seeks to confine and control the American people in an Orwellian fashion. - Ed. note

In a stealth maneuver, President Bush has signed into law a provision which, according to Senator Patrick Leahy (D-Vermont), will actually encourage the President to declare federal martial law (1). It does so by revising the Insurrection Act, a set of laws that limits the President's ability to deploy troops within the United States. The Insurrection Act (10 U.S.C.331 -335) has historically, along with the Posse Comitatus Act (18 U.S.C.1385), helped to enforce strict prohibitions on military involvement in domestic law enforcement. With one cloaked swipe of his pen, Bush is seeking to undo those prohibitions.

Public Law 109-364, or the "John Warner Defense Authorization Act of 2007" (H.R.5122) (2), which was signed by the commander in chief on October 17th, 2006, in a private Oval Office ceremony, allows the President to declare a "public emergency" and station troops anywhere in America and take control of state-based National Guard units without the consent of the governor or local authorities, in order to "suppress public disorder."

Bin Laden Not Wanted for 9/11!

On June 5, 2006, reporter Ed Hass contacted the FBI Headquarters to learn why Bin Laden’s Most Wanted poster did not indicate that Usama was also wanted in connection with 9/11. He spoke with Rex Tomb, Chief of Investigative Publicity for the FBI.  When asked why there is no mention of 9/11 on Bin Ladens Most Wanted web page, Tomb said, “The reason why 9/11 is not mentioned on Usama Bin Ladens Most Wanted page is because the FBI has no hard evidence connecting Bin Laden to 9/11.” (Source: Teamliberty.net)

CIA reportedly disbands Bin Laden unit

A CIA unit that had hunted for Usama bin Laden and his top deputies for a decade has been disbanded, according to a published report. Citing unnamed intelligence officials, The New York Times reported Tuesday that the unit, known as "Alec Station," was shut down late last year. The decision to close the unit, which predated the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks, was first reported Monday by National Public Radio. (Source: Associated Press, July 4, 2006)

Zogby Poll Reveals Critical Mass Call for Truth

On May 22, 2006, a Zogby Poll release shows that 42% of adults believe that the US government and its 9/11 Commission concealed or refused to investigate critical evidence that contradicts their official explanation of the September 11th attacks, saying there has been a cover-up. This amounts to 70 million people!

Additionally, 45% believe Congress or an International Tribunal should re-investigate the attacks, including whether any US government officials consciously allowed or helped facilitate their success.
